CES 2025 Las Vegas- what's new in the tech world?
The CES 2025 trade show taking place in Las Vegas is one of the largest and most important events in the world of technology. This year it attracted more than 141,000 visitors from all over the world, showcasing innovative products in an area of approximately 229,000 square metres.
The CES show is so huge that you can get lost in which hall the real innovations are in. Therefore, having a good idea of the first day allows you to narrow down your search for innovations on the following days of the fair. For example, there were halls where entire floors were overflowing with small electronics from China that were not so innovative. My experience of this fair was unique.
It was the first time I had attended such a large trade fair. Many of the novelties I saw I find hard to consider as innovations. They were simply new products that corrected the imperfections of previous generations.
Key Takeaways from CES 2025:
- Medical innovation, artificial intelligence and sustainability were the main themes that dominated this year's show.
Innovations in medicine:
Many of the products presented at CES were equipped with AI. The aim is undoubtedly to speed up the diagnostic process. Nevertheless, there were also some really interesting medical developments at CES 2025.
One of these was a device for making injections without a needle. A thin jet of liquid is accelerated by a laser, which makes it possible to penetrate the skin without a needle.
Another interesting technology was a device for testing hormone levels. At home, it is possible to test cortisol levels, which should have a certain level throughout the day, varying according to the time of day.
At CES 2025, there were also several companies that presented exoskeletons. Devices that will certainly help people in the rehabilitation process after accidents and injuries.
At this year's CES, a really strong emphasis on the importance of technology in medicine could be seen. Innovations and products on display were in the diagnostics, treatment area as well as mental health.
Artificial intelligence (AI):
It will come as no surprise to anyone when I say that AI was literally everywhere. From robots pretending to be dogs, to smart rings (which are chunky and I can't imagine how you can wear them casually), to devices that had nothing to do with AI. But to attract the attention of visitors they had artificial intelligence on their banners.
I feel that the real innovation related to AI is not about AI itself, but about the places, products and ways where AI is used.
For AI itself, there have been some products. For example, chips and devices that allow models to be trained. Or the miniature computers that were created to store and use AI models.
At this year's CES, you really had to be very alert to find truly innovative uses of AI. In my opinion, the biggest innovations were products that allow for early diagnostics and energy management. These two areas are important from a societal point of view and this is where AI is enabling good results.
Sustainability and ecology:
At CES 2025, the area of sustainability is no longer a niche issue and is becoming a driving force, a wheel of innovation. Absolutely all industries creating their products show how their implementation contributes to environmental protection.
Important ones include the production of fabrics without the use of chemicals. Autonomous agricultural machines that help to cope with the lower availability of workers. But that is not all, as they are also better able to manage crops.
Transport at CES is not only cars, but also small aircraft, which of course are powered by electricity. Speaking of cars, I have a feeling that the Italians have finally taken to design, because some models were really beautiful.
Conclusion:
CES 2025 provided inspiration and showed the direction of technologies that could soon revolutionise our daily lives. As a Monogo company, we are excited about the possibilities arising from these innovations and can't wait to see some of them make their way into our homes, offices and public spaces.
I am particularly proud that we are a company that has care for the environment and the planet embedded in its values. And that is exactly what is driving many of the innovations that are pushing innovation in many industries.
