The EU and the DAC7 directive being implemented by Poland imposes new obligations on sales platforms. As of May 1, platforms that allow non-business people to sell online are required to keep records of such sales in order to later raport taxes in January 2024 details of transactions. Those who have sold products for less than €2,000 or their total number of transactions in a year is no more than 30 will not have to answer and pay additional taxes. Those who sold used products more expensively than they purchased them within 6 months of purchase are not excluded from this. Will this affect the cost of doing business on sites such as Allegro or OLX in Europe? We will see very soon.
