The booming applications of artificial intelligence and large-scale language models (LLMs) in 2023 have focused the attention of pretty much the entire world. With practical applications integrated into Microsoft Office and Adobe products, we could all get a taste of the power of this technology. However, this is not the end, but in fact the beginning of an era of widespread application of AI in our daily lives.

The next step, in addition to seeking more applications for AI, is multi-models. This next step, enables the exploration of context. It offers the chance to combine video, text sound and the context we are in. For online shops, this is a real opportunity to create new experiences for customers.

Already, predictions from e-commerce giant Amazon's CEO unequivocally indicate that generative artificial intelligence will be more accessible to every online business. This is not and will not be just a technological novelty that customers don't really need. It's a real revolution in the customer experience with your online shop.

In my conversations with our clients, I always try to emphasise that the implementation of anything must have a rationale that directly affects the end user. Either the shopper or the people who work on the back office of the shop. Always and exactly in that order. If we make sure the shop is easy to navigate, simple to find products and the best possible customer service, the rest will come by itself. Sales and profits.

Where to start?

After all, there are so many AI solutions and also a great many people talking in such a circular way that a normal person, not an AI specialist, may completely misunderstand where to even start.

We have thought about this for a long time at Monogo, and so we have come to the conclusion that, from our perspective, putting our customers' good experience first, we should make it easier to enter the world of artificial intelligence. That's why we created a simple onboarding plan. We start with the minimally invasive thing of optimising images.

What are the steps?

We start with a quick and simple installation in your e-commerce. After literally a few days, all images in your shop are already optimised by AI.

In the meantime, we sit down and look at what your e-commerce persona is, we study how customer paths are structured. We build a strategy that is optimised for your target audience. Sound a bit futuristic? Probably a little yes, but the reason is that in our market a great many companies have not yet found out how much can be gained by working with User Experience.

Priorities usually come out of this phase. Often the next step is the search engine - here again we can help with our internal solution. If, on the other hand, it happens that we don't have something, no problem. We suggest what to use from the market, what is proven. In this way, we accurately determine the ceiling and floor of the UX reform programme using artificial intelligence.

The results are visible quickly. If there are a lot of customers in the shop, even very quickly.
